== History ==
Information Exchange was developed as a joint venture between [[http://grace.evergreen.edu/cis/2004-2005 CIS2004-2005]] and Martha Davies of [[www.ecie.org]] under the guise of [[http://www.comunidadeslatinasdelnw.net/modules/news/ Comunidades Latinas del NW (Latin American Communities NW)]]. InfoExchange (also known as various other names) is an effort to make an easy to use, robust, multilingual web seminaring system, complete with an archival section and news.

InfoExchange is written in PHP4 compliant PHP and makes use of MySQL as a back end. The goal of this project is to provide minimalistic communication to slower computers with low baud modems.
